I think I’m very behind on my posts of spins for the year. Last I checked I updated through the Tour de France/Tour de Fleece. So now for August and September.
Spin #32 of the year was a beautiful braid from Two if By Hand that I obsessed over forever. I spun it up for one of the September spin-a-longs where someone else went through my stash and told me what to spin.

Spin #33 was a beautiful braid of Polwarth from Fat Cat Knits in the colorway Dragonfly. I had been saving this one until I “got better” at spinning. I’m so happy with how it came out!

Spin #34 was a new fiber to me! It is Norwegian wool in the colorway Kentucky Derby by Spunky Eclectic. I’d say it’s a medium coarse fiber – not as coarse as Southdown, but certainly more rustic than a merino.

Spin #35, and the one that got me my 12 pounds for the year, is a fun braid of BFL dyed by The Sweet Sheep in the colorway ShaBoom!

I’m still spinning! There was one more braid for September, but it’s going to be a gift so I can’t share it here yet. I’m sure I won’t make another 12 pounds, but I hope to keep spinning through the end of the year. Will I do 13 pounds next year? Who knows!
